Sara Hussein

Sara grew up in Lebanon before moving to London to study for a degree in Social Anthropology. She later completed an MBA in Paris. Sara is a French national and is fluent in English, French and Arabic. Sara is based in Beirut and regularly commutes to Brussels where she supports ecas with human rights policy and research, covering the Middle East. Sara is an exceptional policy and advocacy specialist who has previously supported UNICEF, ANND, USAID, UNHCR, and Red Crescent Society across the Middle East with their human rights programmes.

Sara heads our Middle East programmes.  Her role often involves complementing government initiatives, providing technical and diplomatic expertise, supporting communities affected by conflict or displacement. ASI is active in major live conflict zones, reacting to specific needs and helping to extract the most vulnerable by working with NGOs and governments in live theatres of conflict.
