Heritage Lottery and Arts Freelance Fundraising Consultants
Role Overview
We are currently seeking experienced consultants with a strong track record in Heritage Lottery and/or Arts Council England funding. This freelance role is ideal for professionals who have independently managed applications from Expression of Interest through to full submission.
You will join our dynamic consultancy network, contributing to high-quality bids and benefiting from the support of a well-established, collaborative team.
Key Requirements
Demonstrable experience of successful National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and/or Arts Council England applications.
Strong skills in bid writing, project planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and contribute to collaborative bids.
Self-employed or operating through your own limited company.
Ideally, you will have your own client base but are looking to expand within a supportive consultancy network.

Role Overview
Abbey Solutions International (ASI) is seeking experienced freelance fundraisers with a strong track record in securing grants from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies. This is a flexible, freelance opportunity for professionals who can independently lead funding bids and deliver results for our clients.
You will work collaboratively with our consultancy and partner organisations to research funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and manage the submission process end-to-end. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your work, while also being part of a supportive, experienced team.
Key Requirements

Major Donor Freelance Fundraiser

Role Overview
Abbey Solutions International (ASI) is seeking a skilled and experienced freelance major donor fundraiser to help shape and deliver successful high-value giving strategies for our clients.
This is a freelance, project-based opportunity ideal for a confident relationship-builder who can identify prospects, cultivate donors, and drive meaningful philanthropic partnerships. You’ll work closely with leadership teams, boards, and stakeholders to develop tailored approaches that secure transformational gifts and long-term support.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in major donor fundraising, ideally securing gifts £100k+ level
- Strong relationship management and cultivation skills, with the ability to engage HNWIs and philanthropists
- Ability to craft compelling donor communications, cases for support, and bespoke proposals
- Understanding of giving motivations and philanthropic trends in the UK, Europe and the US and Asia
- Comfortable working independently, managing your own pipeline, and advising clients at a strategic level
- Operating as a self-employed professional with appropriate compliance and references
