Current Fundraising overview – Northern Ireland 2023
There is continued pressure on donors and institutional funders as demand on their resources in 2023 grows. This is likely to accelerate throughout 2023 and into 2024 in Northern Ireland as it will else where in the UK due to economic uncertainties.
There will be an increase need to support charities helping older people dealing with the cost of living. Children that come from disadvantaged backgrounds are likely to have fallen behind in school work as food poverty increases and impacts on young minds. Funding from local authorities will continue to be cut back further, reducing service delivery to those that need it.
Environmental organisations and wildlife charities are also likely to feel the impact as money becomes tight.
